In 1988 Egmond Plastics was approached by AOA, a distinguished producer of parts for the aviation industry, at the Plastics trade fair in Germany. Did EP consider it possible to create a fuel pump for the Eurofighter Typhoon? Until this time, no other mould injection companies had considered this a possibility, because it is a complicated technical product with hollow spaces.

But Egmond Plastic never says ‘never’: we began to work on this challenge. After many ‘trial and errors’ a perfect product was eventually rolled out. This fuel pump is now in production, each Eurofighter that takes off has four of them.

Egmond Plastic also makes parts for AOA for the Airbus aircraft sanitation system, as well as the smoke detectors in the Airbus and in trains. We also make other products for this market, for customers such as: Eurocopter, Secondo Mona, EADS Airbus, ASG, Eaton, Goodrich Actuation Systems, etc.
