There's a military saying: "Ounces make pounds and pounds make pain." A small reduction in the weight of packages and equipment quickly has a significant impact on the ability of soldiers to stay as mobile as possible with adequate armaments.

For decades, plastic has been successfully used in the military world to produce strong and lightweight parts. Plastics are increasingly replacing metals in military applications.
