Fusible core technology

Fusible core technology: the go-to process for complex hollow plastic parts.

Our innovative melt-core technology is an injection molding method developed in-house by Egmond Plastic that allows us to produce complex hollow shapes and undercuts in a single, integrated production process. This technique makes it possible to produce plastic parts that cannot be made using traditional injection molding methods, or can only be made with multiple post-processing steps.

How Melt-Core Technology Works

This process uses specially manufactured melt cores. After injection molding, these cores are removed via a controlled and precise melting process, leaving the part completely hollow, without weld seams, adhesives, or additional post-processing. This results in strong, lightweight, and highly precise end products.

For high-performance and engineering plastics

Our melt-core technology is primarily used for high-performance plastics such as PEEK, PEI, and other high-performance polymers. Thanks to their high-temperature resistance and dimensional stability, these materials are ideal for industrial applications, high-performance machine components, aerospace and defense applications, and precision parts with complex internal geometries.

Benefits for your plastic manufacturing

Complex hollow shapes in a single step, no post-processing such as welding or bonding, high dimensional accuracy and reproducibility, strong, durable, and lightweight components, suitable for both small and medium-sized production runs.

With our advanced fusible core technology, we offer a unique solution for companies seeking high-quality, precise, and technically complex plastic parts.
