Tuesday, October 18, was a special day at Egmond Plastic. We celebrated together with our employee René Hollander and his wife his 40th working anniversary.
So many years of loyal service with the same employer is becoming increasingly rare these days and is a remarkable achievement. And that deserves special recognition.
In 1982, René joined the company as a maintenance technician and, over the course of his career, advanced to the position of operator; after completing company-specific training, he became an injection molder. He is also a company emergency responder.
In the festively decorated conference room, speeches were given by Director Richard Brandwijk and—in a special gesture—by Jan Egmond, the former director and founder of Egmond Plastic. Mr. Egmond and his wife were in attendance specifically for this occasion. Many memories were shared. It was also noted that René, as a long-time employee, is open to and adapts to changes within the company. Flexibility, drive, and loyalty are undoubtedly key qualities that describe René. Several colleagues also paid tribute to René. Pastries, flowers, gifts, and a beautiful figurine by Nic Jonk with a special inscription commemorating this anniversary rounded out the celebration.
