On Friday, June 7, the annual Beverkoog soccer tournament took place for the 5th time. The plan was to participate with two teams this year, but due to the great interest from other companies, unfortunately that turned out not to be possible. Enthusiastic and full of good courage we started with a large team and a number of substitutes. Our first opponent was Nedflex, and although it was an exciting and fanatical match, especially on their part, our colleagues managed to hold their own. Unfortunately, this match was lost.
In the second game we took on Vriesia, where we managed a nice victory. The last pool match we played against Sunergetic, but this time too we unfortunately had to take a defeat.
We ended the evening with a match for honor against Volvo. After a draw, penalty kicks had to bring the decision. With Tijmen in goal and our soccer players fully committed, we managed to win the penalty series. We eventually finished in 9th place, under the inspiring leadership of Richard. Next year we will go full out again and try to compete with two teams!
