Employee Olha at Egmond Plastic in NRK-NETWERK magazine

In the latest edition of NRKNETWERK magazine, "our" employee Olha is featured in the Newcomer section with a short article about her life and work at our plastic injection molding company Egmond Plastic in Alkmaar.

The latest edition of NRK-NETWERK magazine features "our" employee Olha in the Newcomer section with a short article about her life and her work at our company.

Alerted by the message on our company's website: 'Girl power at Egmond Plastic', Mr. Dercksen from NRK contacted us. The diversity at our company immediately appealed to him for an article in the magazine and fits in seamlessly with the NRK federation's desire to draw attention to this issue. In its member magazine NRK-Netwerk, the NRK wants to show that the plastics industry is attractive to both men and women.

Olha, who comes from Ukraine, has really found her niche with us. "Machine 22," the vertical injection molding machine, is her favorite place to work. Of course, she wanted to have her picture taken with this machine!

Throughout its 57-year history, Egmond Plastic has always paid close attention to diversity. Nearly half of its workforce is female, including Olha from Ukraine. She worked alongside a buddy for a while. Now she performs her tasks independently. "Such as checking products, assembly, and packaging," she says. The company is known worldwide for its high-quality technical plastic components for the aviation industry. "We also make parts for medical devices and defense. What we do here is important, and that makes me feel good." In her home country, she was an actress and helped build sets. "That made me quite handy and strong, which comes in handy now!" She doesn't know yet whether she will ever return to her native country. "I love Ukraine, I really do, but it's not safe there right now. I've been living in the beautiful Netherlands for three years now. Egmond Plastic is such a pleasant company and my colleagues are such nice people. I feel so happy here . That's all that matters for now.
