Richard Brandwijk, the new board chairman of Business Association Beverkoog

On March 11, 2025, the annual general meeting of the Beverkoog Business Association took place at Hörmann on Robbenkoog. This was a special meeting because it marked the departure of Hendrik Goeman Borgesius as chairman, a position he had held for 13 years. Midway through the meeting, this milestone was acknowledged under the agenda item “board composition.” After receiving the kind words of farewell and thanking everyone for the pleasant collaboration, Hendrik handed the gavel over to Richard. Following a personal introduction, Richard, as the new chairman, energetically took charge of the remainder of the meeting.

According to Richard, Hendrik has set the bar high in terms of the chairmanship and the responsibilities of the role, but he is eager to take on the challenge and will approach his term as chair with enthusiasm. A green, clean, and safe business park is a top priority for him, and the energy transition is also a focus of his attention. In addition, he will work closely with the other board members to ensure good accessibility to Beverkoog.
